Please join us for the launch of ‘Redesigning Collaboration: Opportunities for Innovation in Toronto’s Labour Market’ report.
The Greater Toronto Area (GTA) has many programs and services to help new immigrants and youth find jobs, yet unemployment and under-employment among these groups remain stubbornly high. This report seeks to better define the problem, identify successful models that are matching job seekers and available positions, and suggest next steps for governments.
The launch will be moderated by Enid Slack, Chair of the ICE Committee, and will feature Matthew Mendelsohn, Director of the Mowat Centre, as key note speaker.
A panel of speakers will include:
- Azim Lila, youth speaker
- Maya Roy, Executive Director of Newcomer Women’s Services Toronto
- Margaret Eaton, Executive Director of Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council
- Josh Hjartarson, Vice President, Policy and Government Relations, Ontario Chamber of Commerce.
Light refreshments will be provided.
