The Toronto Urban Fellows program is a one-year fellowship that provides talented early-career professionals with intensive exposure to the governance, operations and administration of Canada’s largest city through a combination of full-time work experience, career coaching, and a series of seminars, tours and workshops.
Applicants must have graduated from a Master’s or PhD program within the past three years. Individuals with a post-graduate certificate in Public Administration are also eligible to apply. Individuals are encouraged to apply regardless of academic major, discipline or field of specialization.
The program has accepted candidates with backgrounds in disciplines such as urban planning, public policy, public administration, international development, social work, engineering, political science, sociology, history, kinesiology, public health, environmental studies, and landscape architecture. Internationally educated professionals are eligible and encouraged to apply.
The deadline for applications is June 6, 2011.
