The Street Involved Youth Program (SIYP), formerly the Squeegee Working Youth Mobilization Program, was created for street-involved youth that use squeegeeing or panhandling as a means to survive. SIYP combines lifestyle stabilization with specific job skill development in 10-week modules that are delivered through partnership with other community agencies. To support next steps towards long term employment, youth are ‘bridged’ to appropriate employment/education programs. Youthlink delivers the program.
